Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls, debuts her video for her first solo single, “Whatever You Like,” featuring T.I. and produced by Polow Da Don. I must admit, I was expecting something a little different - or perhaps, maybe something more, especially because of those couple pictures that were released from the shoot. Overall, the video is simple and has a bathhouse-type theme. She looks excellent and her body is going off in the video.

What do you expect from a dark haired, handsome and blue eyed guy like Robin Thick? You would definitely not expect the soul of Stevie Wonder to come from his voice. When I first heard the music single "I'm Not Loving You" I did expect to get swept off my feet in lyrics and melody.
One review called him cloying. His lyrics and melody are not super sweet at all.

I have to agree, Robin's music is nothing like what is being played today. Another writer compared it to Justin Timberlake's Futuresex. Robin's soft sweet sounds are nothing like the pop, disco techish Futuresex.
Fans will be looking for Robin Thicke's new album after his current tour around the world. I'm sure that it will be another hit if it is anything like The Evolution of Robin.

All Night Long has gotten me out of my seat dancing every time. I can't forget about Wanna Love You Girl, that mixes pop beats to his soulful voice. Everything I can't have is a great mixture of Samba beats, Rhythm and Blues.
When asked what Robin's muse for the album was he said "My greatest desire with this album was to write songs that were completely honest and sing them with the emotion I was feeling when I wrote them, so that whoever listens to my music is brought as close to my experiences and life as possible."

By the age of fourteen, he could play anything he heard on the radio. At sixteen, with no formal training, Robin began professionally writing and producing music for recording artists like Brandy and Brian McKnight. Over the years he has amassed dozens of gold and platinum records with artists including Usher, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.

However, I can understand that there is not much needed in a music video for a slow love song like "Lost without U" by Robin Thicke. Music videos are mere marketing tools to get fans excited enough to purchase an album.
I have had the pleasure of hearing "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" and the album sounds pretty solid. It has upbeat songs and slower tunes that both women and men can enjoy. Music fans who like R&B will not be disappointed with Robin Thicke's latest album. Another great aspect that I like about "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" is that there are no desires to skip certain tracks. Each song on the album is good.
The "Lost without U" music video has the potential to bore someone who is not into the song. Any impatient teenager would probably turn the channel to see Beyonce shaking her butt in the "Upgrade U" music video. However, Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video provides enough satisfaction to be deemed something worth watching. It has built in appeal because Robin Thicke has become quite popular again due to the great "Lost without U" song and his frequent airplay. Those who are not familiar with him will definitely look for him on the music video channels.
Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video looks cheap from a technical perspective. Anyone can rent a hotel room and have the singer pour a drink while sobbing about a lost love. That is just my simple observation of the music video. Based on the routine of music industry productions, it is best to say that Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" video was not cheap at all. It is possible that this video cost thousands of dollars to make. That is mainstream production working right there.
This means that it can work for Robin Thicke. Although there is not much going on in the "Lost without U" music video, it's simplicity works for that particular song. Robin Thicke has a great style that music fans are attracted to.
Therefore, he does not have to make elaborate videos and his music will still sell. There is no deep concept except for the fact that Robin Thicke is reminiscing about a woman that he loves.

Producer genius Scott Torch turns up the heat on Chris Brown with this very edgy, hip-hop inspired backbeat drop for Mr Brown to ply his vocals on. You can imagine the video without even seeing it, lots of busting dance moves in the ilk of an Usher video. Chris Brown is a superstar, make no mistake, this will appeal largely to the download buying market and is very different from the more adult contempary "Yo (Excuse Me Miss). Another hit for Mr Brown you bet and because with its club appeal it will probably end up being a much bigger hit than "Yo". But personally gimme "Yo" any day, but I can definitely see its appeal to the mass market.

Outkast are nothing but a duo with ambition. After daring to believe splitting to make a long-ass double LP of two totally separate albums could be a success, the pair decided to make a whole period feature film to accompany their latest release. ‘Idlewild Blue’ is the first release from the resulting, and much-delayed ‘Idlewild’ project, and although the album doesn’t feature as many highpoints as ‘Speakerboxxx/The Love Below’, this track – Andre 3000’s kind of future-blues take on Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ – is one of them.

We met Fergie the other day. She was nice, but an hour late. Apparently, she accidentally wore the wrong outfit. Our mind boggles as to what that could've been. Overalls? Bear suit? Nipple tassels and a hat saying, "Get it here"? We'll never know. We can also testify that she's got quite a voice on her. She belted out some Lauryn Hill a cappella for us and we were well impressed. But you can see for yourself when we post the video later this week. As for 'Glamorous', it's pretty damn good. Breezy and poppy so that it makes us move our shoulders in a way we imagine is sexy but probably looks more like we've got an itch we can't reach.

Song review:Ludicrous!!One of the worst songs he has made to date. What in chocolate hell?Why,Ludricous? I can see where he was trying to go with this slap music video and song,but i cannot understand why. For one, the beat is all wrong and the words are so provoking. The lyrics alone,"I feel like slapping somebody today," says it all. This slap song may very well become the anthem for many people who feel like "killing their boss" or just plain "slapping someone", but i do not endorse it. I find that the lyrics are ludricous and riduculous. I expected so much from the grammy nominated rapper.

It is strange that someone who is approaching a trial on charges of child molestation should decide that an appropriate title for their latest release is 'I'm A Flirt', but R Kelly has never been one to go along with the norm, rather choosing to subvert what is expected of him through weird and wonderful behaviour such as his extremely odd R'n'B 'opera', centring on cherry pie.
Peculiar? You got it in one. However, this is not to say that R Kelly doesn't have talent - far from it, if it wasn't for the rather more unsavoury aspects of his character, he'd probably be doing really quite amazingly well for himself.
'I'm A Flirt' is typical R Kelly, smooth and catchy, with Kelly never slipping out of his swift, relaxed vocal into anything more frantic. Everything is chilled out, everything ever so measured. It's not quite the 'Ignition Remix' but it's a funky enough song to catch onto the imagination.

Timothy Timbaland must be worth his weight in gold to any floundering famous pop stars. I often have visions of him being doorstepped at his home by Jason Donovan or some other notable casualty of the gravy train (sometimes Right Said Fred), and though Nelly Furtado could never be considered as any kind of casualty herself, a Timbaland collaboration is undoubtedly an almighty tonic to her career.
After taking time out to give birth to her baby daughter, Furtado returned to the industry last year in the kind of commercial predicament of someone with a few hits who wants to be, well, something more like Kylie or Madonna. Sure, she's got the looks, you thought, but does she have the danger, the "X-Factor", like Ray Quinn?
Well, over to Timbaland with his magic liberation wand, and the transformation is profound. Nelly now struts like a demon and has hair that curls like a Vidal Sassoon mannequin, but what really makes her all the better for being the new global uber-sexy superstar is the fact that you still sense some kind of actual human trepidation underneath it all. It's there when she walks onto the underground platform to writhe with greased devils in the kick-ass Maneater, as it was there in the wide-eyed chorus of I'm Like a Bird, and if anything it's more accentuated here in a track of surprisingly dark allure.
While Britney Spears suffers privately and publicly for being part of a machine determined to paper over any signs of humanity, Timbaland's artists seem free to convey something tenfold more genuine under the hot lights. Perhaps it's the touch of an artist-producer rather than an airbrush tyrant, but whatever, long may commercial products continue to be as sultry and subversive.

Laying down an instant pop classic, he retains those massive, distinctive beats he's become so known for, throws in some wiry synth action and a perfect melody, then gets the two singers to add a slick commercial shine and the whole thing sounds incredible.
The only imperfection being Timba's own rap verse, proving again he should stick to where his talents truly lie; behind the studio desk. If the inclusion of the pop-friendly vocalists put you off, then track down the single for the instrumental. The beat is one of the best yet to come from a man who has countless classics behind him.

"Whine Up" is likely to be heard booming from car speakers through much of the summer 2007, but 19-year-old Kat DeLuna will need something more memorable over the long term to sustain pop stardom. Guide Review - Kat DeLuna featuring Elephant Man - Whine Up
It's a shame that we don't have an exhilarating summer dance floor smash like Rihanna's "Pon De Replay" or Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" yet in the summer of 2007. If we did, we wouldn't be settling for something like "Whine Up." The vocals from teen Kat DeLuna are pleasant, and the recycled house beats can get us dancing, but once the song runs its chart course, I doubt any of us will be frequently tracking it down to listen again.
Kat DeLuna's first album hits stores this August. Let's hope for a bit more obvious influence from her Latin and New York backgrounds to give the music fire and color. On the "Oye's" in the chorus of "Whine Up," there is a hint of Shakira's vocal color, but DeLuna has a long, long way to go to be mentioned in the same breath as the Colombian star. Add "Whine Up" into the summer playlist for now, but keep your ears open for the possibility of a summer classic yet to come.
