Kelly Clarkson "Walk Away'" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

MTV TakeAway Rating - rating

The Bottom Line

One of the most impressive things about "Walk Away," the new single from Kelly Clarkson, is that this is the 5th single from her smash album Breakaway. By this time, typically, the artist is beginning to scrape the bottom of the barrel to wrestle one last hit. This single is one of the best songs from the album.

Pros
  • Kelly Clarkson rocks again
  • Classic pop-rock style
  • Illustrates her versatility
Cons
  • Difficult to find a real negative here

Description

  • Throbbing bass
  • Anthemic chorus
  • A vocal request to demonstrate commitment by action not just words

Guide Review - Kelly Clarkson - Walk Away (RCA)

After spawning 4 major top 10 singles ("Breakaway," "Since U Been Gone," "Behind These Hazel Eyes," and "Because of You") and spending 60 weeks in the top 20 of the pop albums chart, you might expect the album Breakaway to be running out of steam, but then along comes the 5th single "Walk Away." It is a pop-rock anthem that may not quite reach the status of "Since U Been Gone" but rivals any of the album's other singles in quality.

"Walk Away" is one of 5 collaborations with studio MVP Kara DioGuardi from the album and the first to be released as a single. DioGuardi has become one of the most sought after songwriter/producers playing key roles on hits from Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me" to Lindsay Lohan's "Confessions of a Broken Heart." For additional insurance Canadian couple Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida, frequent Avril Lavigne collaborators, assisted on "Walk Away."

Kelly Clarkson is arguably the most talented vocalist and song interpreter DioGuardi has worked with, and she drives home the song's insistence on romantic commitment with grit and style. Clarkson has said "Walk Away" is her Annie Lennox-type song, and her singing here does bear some resemblance to Lennox' gut-bucket approach to rock-oriented songs, particularly in a nearly a capella passage just past the song's midpoint. Look for this single to be in the pop top 10 soon.

Kelly Clarkson "Never Again" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

K elly’s album is set to be one of the most interesting of the year. She’s defied her record company and shunned the Since U Been Gone hitmakers (who’ve since worked with Pink and Avril) to steer her own sound. This first single mixes Pat Benatar-style 1980s pop/rock with Alanis-style angst (the lyrics are a dumbed-down You Oughta Know). It’s low on hooks and melodies; the previously unheard sound of an Idol risking it all in the name of not compromising.

3/5 stars

The retro wheel continues to turn down south with these Melbourne rockers the buzz du jour in LA and their hometown, having just signed to seminal label Alberts here (home of AC/DC, Beasts Of Bourbon, Dallas Crane). The debut EP opens with lead track, It Goes Off, which has been scoring US radio airplay and reveals a strong melodic sense with classic rock riffs. The production is pretty muddy but you get the general idea that these guys have a few strong tunes.

Daughtry "Home" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

This song gives me chills every time I hear it (which is pretty often, cause i have the Daughtry album on "repeat all" in the CD player of my truck)...it's about coming back home to what is comfortable, rather than what is unfamiliar...I love this song, and I love this album...there is not a single bad song...no, there isnt even a single mediocre song on this album...although I wasn't impressed by Chris's performance on Jimmy Kimmel the other night...still, this album is NUTS...unbelieveably amazing.

Kelly Clarkson “Because of you” Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

If you listen to the average indie kid then shows like the X Factor are killing music. The pop puppets that they produce are no better than the karaoke acts at a Butlin's talent show. Kelly Clarkson, along with Will Young and Girls Aloud, kicks a platinum record-sized hole in that argument.

All that pop reality TV does is draw back the curtain on the training and manipulation that takes place before an artist is released on the public. This has always been the case - it's just that these acts are forced to grow up in public. No amount of Pygmalion-styled direction can prolong a career beyond the first few singles if there is no real talent. A life of cruise ships and working men's clubs awaits those who somehow conned their way into the final stages of Pop Idol or the X Factor.

Kelly Clarkson was the winner of the very first series of American Idol and she has an advantage - she is undoubtedly talented. Firstly, there is her voice; here it's full of vulnerability, ache and wounded pride. It soars, it purrs. It carries a bruised sense of real emotion. Secondly, there is the co-credit on this single; the lyrics deal with an unnamed significant other who has twisted and damaged her psyche. When she sings; "I lose my way, and it's not too long before you point it out / I cannot cry, because I know that's weakness in your eyes," the pure hurt in her voice is heartbreaking. This is potent stuff, the piano arrangement reminiscent of Tori Amos in her most emotional naked state. A cut above Rik Waller, then.

Fall Out Boy “This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race” Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

Fall Out Boy are only four albums into their career, but they exist in a climate so temperamental they already feel weary and primed for self-parody. In the video for their new single "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", the band use characters from all their past videos, plus a few rock clichés (trashing hotel rooms, visiting the Playboy mansion, recording with a hip-hop producer) for a satire that's unusually self-aware for an emo band-- even one as good-humored and self-effacing as this.

But how’s the single? As self-referential as the video, but without the sense of humor. Incorporating an ill-advised drum machine for its Rob Thomas/Santana-meets-Timberlake verses and pre-chorus, the lyrics reach for more than they can grasp: "I am an arms dealer/ Fitting you with weapons in the form of words" explains the song title, not the metaphor. The stomp of the pre-chorus, and the full-bore, blown-out pop/punk chorus both go a long way towards redeeming that, but there's a telling line at the end of the second chorus-- "Bandwagon's full. Please, catch another"-- implying Fall Out Boy may have become their own guilty pleasure

Kings Of Leon "Fans" Rapidshare Music Video+review+lyrics/MV/試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞/뮤직 비디오/동영상

Kings Of Leon 'Fans' (Colombia)
They may be pandering to their fans a bit on this one and shamelessly name-checking London (the Kings' first two albums didn't trouble the Top 50 in the US), but this is still outstanding. Taken from their number one album 'Because Of The Times', 'Fans' bursts with explosive drums, brooding guitars and obligatory yodels from. This is one single that we definitely can't live without this week. "And all the rainy days, they ain't so bad when you're the king." That's alright for you, mate, but they're pretty rubbish for the rest of us.

My Chemical Romance "Teenagers" Rapidshare Music Video And Review+lyrics/MV/試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞/뮤직 비디오/동영상

My Chemical Romance - Teenagers (Reprise)

5/ 7/2007

GLAM... I suppose it was the next logical step for A&R pilferers My Chemical Romance.

But this is glam filtered through the Manic Street Preachers and chorus line cabaret. It's musically clichéd and lyrically a tad dubious - while the cover purports a message that "Violence is never the answer", the lyrical content (in particular the implication that "what you got under your shirt" will make the classmates who call you names "pay for the things that they did") providing an easily adaptable anthem for both sides depending on which lines you choose to shout the loudest.

Which, for a song intended to berate violence, seems something of a remarkably dangerous failing.

Pete Doherty's Babyshambles "French Dog Blues" Music Video(Lyrics,Rapidshare,PV,無料,試聴,視聴,配信,MV,歌詞,動画,映画,mp3)

Pete Doherty

That Pete's full of surprises: scoring goals, cracking up his kitty, still turning out pretty good tunes. Tunes? Right, he's a songwriter -- and from what we've heard of Shotter's Nation, the kid's still got some punk nuggets to mine out of that fried-egg head of his. The Kinks-y "Delivery" shocked and rolled us into being Nation curious, and now we have a literally drawn-out Doherty with his fellow Babys and a swaying pup in the Clash-y garage pop of "French Dog Blues." Somehow animals are never safe around this guy.

White Stripes Meg White Sex Tape is here!!!!!!!!

Meg White Sex Tape

The Stripes may have canceled their tour due to Meg's "acute anxiety," but it looks like maybe she's found some ways of relieving it. Of course, when we asked y'all for suggestions about what could've caused the duress, we had no idea of a pending (and perhaps involuntary) release of a home sex tape -- um, precisely the sort of thing that could fuck with one's nerves. NSFW screengrab awaits...

The office is split on whether or not this is actually Meg. Could be? Watch here. In any case, the room's kinda silent, so feel free to use maybe-Meg and partner as metronome and shout out Stripes tunes to soundtrack the fun ("Your Southern Can is Mine"? "When I Hear My Name"?). Too bad she has to keep time with such a small drumstick.

Sea And Cake "The Crossing" Music Video(Lyrics,Rapidshare,PV,無料,試聴,視聴,配信,MV,歌詞,動画,映画,mp3)

Sea and Cake

Something about scrolling backdrops and the Sea & Cake these days. Just two days ago, the beautifully breezy Everybody cut "Coconut" was used as soundtrack for a sideways-moving collage of cool frogs, Grateful Dead bears, and 8-bit breakdancers; here, it's more "real" than that, but just as single-angle minded. Director Lung sets a camera on a car roof and presses record. That's it. What we get's a vertical scroll down life's highway, with karoake subtitles so you can do your best Prekop. (via P4K)

The White Stripes "You Don't Know What Love Is" Music Video

White Stripes
I’m not sure what I even want from the White Stripes anymore. Their just released single “Icky Thump,” for all of its urgency, was kind of a mess. Now, we get wind of this newly leaked track and though it’s certainly more focused, it still seems vaguely underwhelming. The kids can’t win.

At the onset Jack White mixes it up, simultaneously pursuing his usual Zeppelin crunch as well as the more laid back groove of that band’s “Hey Hey What Can I Do?” But Jack’s pedantic lecturing fails to approximate the humid sexuality of the best British rockers gone South. I’m struggling through the usual Dixie touch points to find an appropriate comparison, because I know this reminds me of something specific. I’m genuinely concerned that it might be a half-remembered Black Crowes song still lingering in my skull from a radio transmission I once heard in high school.

Chemical Brothers "Salmon Dance ft. Fatlip" Rapidshare Music Video&Lyrics

hChemical Brothers
An odd choice of single, this - from the fine We Are The Night album, there is a long queue of tracks that would be better chosen before "Sammy the Salmon and his amazing salmon dance".

Lightly humourous it may be, but Sammy the Salmon surely would sound better if it was contemporaneous with that other salmon, the one the Shamen were asking about.

Sure the Chems' rhythmic sensibilities are there for all to enjoy, and the vocals from the Pharcyde's Fatlip are fun to digest, but this doesn't feel right - surely this fodder is too light for a full-on dance act such as the Chemical Brothers?

Ye ask, and ye shall receive. Thankfully, an anonymous tipster spent an hour piecing this song’s 20 pieces together so we didn’t have to. The source of much controversy ’round these parts lately: Atreyu’s new single, “Becoming the Bull.” Have fun, kiddies.

Sixx: AM "Life Is Beautiful" Rapidshare Music Video

Sixx:AM
MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx's video for "Life Is Beautiful" has been posted at UGO.com. This is the first single from "The Heroin Diaries" soundtrack, which hits stores on August 21. The song is performed by Sixx, DJ Ashba (ex-BEAUTIFUL CREATURES), and James Michael who are collectively known as SIXX:A.M.

"The Heroin Diaries" CD is a precursor to Sixx's autobiography of the same name, which arrives September 25. The album's 12 tracks each match up with one chapter in the book; "Life Is Beautiful" can be streamed from the book's MySpace.com page. An e-card for "The Heroin Diaries", which contains an excerpt from the book's first chapter where Nikki talks about his love/hate relationship with his dealer, is available at this location.

"The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star" offers an unflinching and utterly gripping look at Sixx's descent into drug addiction with a soundtrack, featuring James Michael and DJ Ashba (ex-BEAUTIFUL CREATURES), to match.

Few bands were as influential as MÖTLEY CRÜE in making the 1980s the heavy metal decade. Theirs is a cyclonic story of runaway success and its price, blending outrageous record sales and arena headline tours with smashed up cars, jail sentences, models, drugs, breakups, reunions and more breakups.

In this candid memoir, Nikki Sixx — MÖTLEY CRÜE's bassist and main songwriter — recounts the band's heyday. "The Heroin Diaries" takes readers along on one of the most breathless and harrowing roller coaster rides in the history of pop music. At its heart lies the author's nightmare come true: a punishing heroin addiction that brought him and the band to the edge of losing much more than just their spot on the charts. Serving up snapshots of rock culture at its most manic, this insider's look at triumph and tragedy is every bit as explosive as the musical odyssey it chronicles.

Nikki Sixx was born Frank Feranna in San Jose, California, in 1958 and grew up in Seattle with his grandmother. At the age of seventeen, he sold his guitars and took a bus to Los Angeles, where he began hanging out in local clubs and playing in bands. He founded MÖTLEY CRÜE in 1981 with friend Tommy Lee. Today he's a family man with numerous projects in the works, including songwriting for other artists, a movie, a new band, a clothing line, and ongoing work with the CRÜE.

"The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star" will come out through MTV Books/Simon & Schuster. The accompanying original concept soundtrack will be released by Eleven Seven Music and distributed by ADA, with a portion of proceeds donated to Nikki's Running Wild in the Night, a fundraising initiative for Covenant House. The book is a tell-all covering 12 months in Sixx's battle against addiction, drawn from Nikki's 1986 and '87 journals, and reportedly makes CRÜE's celebrated "Dirt", now being made into a motion picture, sound like Mary Poppins.

Jimmy Eat World "Big Casino" Rapidshare Music Video

Jimmy Eat World
Was three years too long to wait for a new Jimmy Eat World LP? Or too little? Tough to say on the little we've heard from it, but the J.E.W. crew have been a busy-touring bunch of late, hitting far away lands in prep for the launch of Chase This Light, out this fall on Interscope. Butch Vig is on production, and he says the record is "quite eclectic. There are three or four songs that sound like classic Jimmy Eat World, with angular, razor-sharp guitars. There are a couple that are a lot more dreamy, and some that are very groove-acious." Guess the first single, "Big Casino," falls somewhere between those razor-sharp guitars and groove-aciousness. Though Butch needed to throw radio pop-rock-y in there. You can listen to some of the track at MySpace. (And apparently JIm's currently listening to Kala).

Yeah, pretty shitty how it turns into a weird commercial for the record half way through. To console yourself, remember the good times...
