This is YUI’s 9th single and it was released on June 13, 2007. This single reached #1 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and it has so far sold 79,277 copies. The first track was used as theme song for the drama Seito Shokun and the 2nd track was used as the theme song for the movie Sidecar ni Inu.

My Generation is another great, upbeat song by YUI. Even though it doesn’t have the furious energy of Rolling star (a song that I disliked but not as much as before), it still has quite a nice pace. YUI’s vocals have a soothing quality to them despite the music’s speed and the electric guitars. This song isn’t her best work, but still one of her better ‘aggressive’ tracks.

The other A-side reminded me a lot of TOKYO, but with a stronger string arrangement. Understand is a little on the boring side and I thought YUI’s vocals were kind of bland as well. She’s not exactly a ballad singer, but her slower, more acoustic based songs are still pretty good (TOKYO, Why?, and Why me are good examples).

The 3rd track is the YUI Acoustic Version of CHE.R.RY. CHE.R.RY has grown to become one of my favorite songs from her because of the wonderful chorus and the tinge of pop in the music. Much like her previous acoustic versions, the entire musical arrangement is toned down but the vocals of the chorus still maintain a lot of energy.

Good to see some of his "old sound" coming back. It's been a while since he's sung such a decent song. ^^

And the PV is amazing! Especially the part where he's just standing there, singing, with everyone fighting around him. One of his best PVs imo ^^

This is a much better song than No ni Saku Hana no Yo ni, Redemption, and Longing put together.

L'Arc~en~Ciel is back with the new single "SEVENTH HEAVEN". The anticipated single comes with four tracks. Starting with the jammy futuristic self-titled song "SEVENTH HEAVEN". Very upbeat, it's definitely going to have you dancing. With the feel of a bit of old L'Arc, "SEVENTH HEAVEN" is very easy to adapt to. Though the only thing it's missing is guitarist ken's solo. The vocals of hyde are outstanding! Hitting high notes, English sounds great, along with ken's English background singing.

L'Arc~en~Ciel also throws their alter egos back in the game with the P'UNK~EN~CIEL version of their popular song, "HONEY", in "HONEY 2007". This song really does sound punk! The song is pretty slow, and seems a bit boring, but once it's gets to the chorus, it'll get you bouncing along. It's a whole new way to sing "HONEY", and is very unique. I always enjoy P'UNK songs for it's fun to hear song you love sung by someone other then hyde, in this case tetsu. Though I think "HONEY 2007" is lacking a bit, it's still a great song that is easy to fall in love with.

All-in-all the single is good. Jammy songs, wonderful vocals, great playing of the guitar, bass, and drums. Check it out if you can!
