Fergie 'Glamorous' (A&M)
We met Fergie the other day. She was nice, but an hour late. Apparently, she accidentally wore the wrong outfit. Our mind boggles as to what that could've been. Overalls? Bear suit? Nipple tassels and a hat saying, "Get it here"? We'll never know. We can also testify that she's got quite a voice on her. She belted out some Lauryn Hill a cappella for us and we were well impressed. But you can see for yourself when we post the video later this week. As for 'Glamorous', it's pretty damn good. Breezy and poppy so that it makes us move our shoulders in a way we imagine is sexy but probably looks more like we've got an itch we can't reach.

As we've learned recently, the Black Eyed Pea guy with questionable period usage has got a full palette of marketable attributes, what with his enviable gift for rhymery and deep understanding of Mendelian genetics, but let's not forget, he's not all talk. Dude also makes music. And post-Kanye Daft Punk remixes. See, skills -- he's got 'em. All of 'em, except that thing called business savvy.
According to Daily Swarm, will.i.am got so carried away with the idea of working some Daft Punk into his act -- 'cause they're hott this year! -- that he forgot to check if it was cool with the robots. So he went ahead and remixed "I Got It From My Mama" (the previously alluded to track about female hot-gene inheritance) with Daft staple "Around The World." And then he shot a video. And then he asked permission. And then permission was denied. Go 'bots. Silly will, you really just should've asked PB&J. Or Feist.

Will.i.am ‘I Got It From My Mama (Genetics)’ Rapidshare
This Is Rumoured To Be The Debut Solo Single From Hip-Hop Super Producer "Will.i.am".
Fresh from working with the likes of "Michael Jackson" as well as working on new material for "The Black Eyed Peas", Will is finalising his own album. From day one, he has obviously been the brains behind the BEP, it's great to finally hear some solo material.
Still, it is hard to hear the difference between a Peas track & this one, "I Got It From My Mama" sounds quite a bit like "My Humps", it even features female vocals that sound suspiciously like "Fergie". This is an obvious first single & very radio ready, I hope that his solo album, "Songs About Girls", produces something more innovative, which he is blatantly capable of making.

Fergie has created another intriguing way to popularize her way. Her new album "Fergalicious" was created with bland taste. Reviews had it that the lousy combination of different music genre gave the album a lack of distinction and individuality.
Although the album boasts of strong vocals, the album still lacked the originality seen with other artists. The beat is also done with a danceable note which makes it popular with the teens.
The eccentric mix showed a variety of musical genre. "Pedestal" sounded very sexy and at the same time very Broadway-musical while "Voodoo" was fast-beat. "Glamorous" was smooth and sweet. "Velvet" was different with a relaxing piano background which was joined by Fergie using her sultry voice and effortless lines.
The songs "Losing My Ground", "Glamorous" and "Velvet" are popular but misses the impact and energy. "Mary Jane Shoes" may be pleasingly reggae but is so shallow as it talks about Fergie's favorite shoes. "Finally" uses Fergie's powerful words but lacks in range but sounded too much for her.
The song "Big Girls Don't Cry" revealed Fergie's true identity where she told the story of how she was getting over her ex-love. However, the words appear cheap and callous with lyrics that are odd.
Fergie's wild vocals gave a definite appeal to her music. The way she portrayed different emotions in the various genre showed her versatility in music. She even ended the track with a cool-down jazzy tune.
The album served entertaining to most. However, quality and depth seemed to be lacking. The music video even showed a ghettoish touch with Fergie dancing around like a stripper. Fergie's merging with the group Black Eyed Peas, has transformed the group into being sexier and more popular. They have become famous beyond reason.
However, Fergie has not proven to show any of her individual talents. She's often been identified as part of the group and not as an independent, original and serious singer.
Although Fergie's album lacks cohesion, the point that she has made an impact and has become popular as a singer means that she could actually make a career out of this. Probably, the inconsistencies have actually helped in gaining different kinds of audiences.
Many have described Fergie as more of a Madonna than a vocal diva. It is her personality that comes out in her music and not so much of her talent. She is just so lucky to have someone like Will.i.am who manages to keep Fergie at an advantage at all times.
One could say that Fergie does have talent. She could add sexiness to an otherwise boring rap music with her sultry voice. The backgrounder has much beat to it that serves as an excellent attention-grabber with all audiences.
