In a time where the charts are full of Hip Hop crap, this is a breeze of fresh air. It has that definate summer felling, especially if one riding the open highway. The band has finally hit a real buuls eye that has all the elements of thier first hit, 'Hanging By A Moment' The guitar arrangments and chords are wicked pop at it's best and his vocals sound just as good as ever. 'You & Me' was a top notch song loved by all. I just hope you all hear how amazing this song is.

When Kate Nash released her very first single Caroline's A Victim back at the start of the year, those of us who'd almost obsessively listened to her demo versions were a bit bemused. Why release this juddering slab of electro, which bore an unfortunate resemblance to the Bad Uncle song from Nathan Barley, when there was so much better stuff in her canon? Was Kate Nash really trying to sabotage her career before it had even begun?

Six months on, and her first release for Fiction shows much better judgement. For Foundations is the sort of thing that's been feeding Nash die-hards ever since she first played tiny open-mic spots in North London. A lovely bittersweet tale of a failing relationship, this is funny, poignant, dangerously catchy and nearly impossible to grow tired of. Best of all, it demonstrates her natural touch for naturalistic lyrics that absolutely everyone will be able to relate to.

Forget the backlash against the 'LDN scene' - Kate Nash is far too good a songwriter to be lazily bracketed with bands just because she's from the same region. This sounds like a hit from the first minute you play it - and pretty soon it will be absolutely huge.

Acoustic power pop rock with a surfy sideline makes the perfect summer record and Newton Faulkner has bucket loads of it. Dream Catch Me is a lovely ditty with a real Cornwall touch, despite the fact he actually hails from Surrey.

The upbeat and melodic single from the ginger dreadlocked songwriter has already had masses of radio play, casting Newton's raspy vocals into the limelight. His strong voice and the lovely tune distract from the awful electric percussion, which seems so out of place in a song that oozes natural and raw talent. He sounds a little like an X-Factor finalist, but hopefully his song writing will see him through.

Dream Catch Me is worth a listen. It's catchy, has a little bit of everything from the heart wrenching chorus to undertones of the rock ballads and it makes you want to hear a little bit more of what Newton has to offer. The track's release is also perfect timing following his summer of flitting from festival to festival, where he has seen some positive reactions.

Amy Macdonald's Pete Doherty-fixation knows no bounds. First single 'Poison Prince' was written about him, and the same would appear to apply to 'Mr Rock 'N' Roll'. Now, personally we can't really fathom why anyone would waste a note on the snivelling, spotty toerag, but the resulting single isn't bad at all. Highly pleasant jingly jangly pop, although Amy sounds a little old for her time; and by this we mean mumsy rather than mature. She's got quite a voice on her though, so if she borrows a bit of Doherty's grit (and let's face it, he's got enough to spare behind his fingernails alone) she could go far.
