Kelly Clarkson "Walk Away'" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

MTV TakeAway Rating - rating

The Bottom Line

One of the most impressive things about "Walk Away," the new single from Kelly Clarkson, is that this is the 5th single from her smash album Breakaway. By this time, typically, the artist is beginning to scrape the bottom of the barrel to wrestle one last hit. This single is one of the best songs from the album.

Pros
  • Kelly Clarkson rocks again
  • Classic pop-rock style
  • Illustrates her versatility
Cons
  • Difficult to find a real negative here

Description

  • Throbbing bass
  • Anthemic chorus
  • A vocal request to demonstrate commitment by action not just words

Guide Review - Kelly Clarkson - Walk Away (RCA)

After spawning 4 major top 10 singles ("Breakaway," "Since U Been Gone," "Behind These Hazel Eyes," and "Because of You") and spending 60 weeks in the top 20 of the pop albums chart, you might expect the album Breakaway to be running out of steam, but then along comes the 5th single "Walk Away." It is a pop-rock anthem that may not quite reach the status of "Since U Been Gone" but rivals any of the album's other singles in quality.

"Walk Away" is one of 5 collaborations with studio MVP Kara DioGuardi from the album and the first to be released as a single. DioGuardi has become one of the most sought after songwriter/producers playing key roles on hits from Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me" to Lindsay Lohan's "Confessions of a Broken Heart." For additional insurance Canadian couple Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida, frequent Avril Lavigne collaborators, assisted on "Walk Away."

Kelly Clarkson is arguably the most talented vocalist and song interpreter DioGuardi has worked with, and she drives home the song's insistence on romantic commitment with grit and style. Clarkson has said "Walk Away" is her Annie Lennox-type song, and her singing here does bear some resemblance to Lennox' gut-bucket approach to rock-oriented songs, particularly in a nearly a capella passage just past the song's midpoint. Look for this single to be in the pop top 10 soon.

Kelly Clarkson "Never Again" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

K elly’s album is set to be one of the most interesting of the year. She’s defied her record company and shunned the Since U Been Gone hitmakers (who’ve since worked with Pink and Avril) to steer her own sound. This first single mixes Pat Benatar-style 1980s pop/rock with Alanis-style angst (the lyrics are a dumbed-down You Oughta Know). It’s low on hooks and melodies; the previously unheard sound of an Idol risking it all in the name of not compromising.

3/5 stars

SKYBOMBERS
The retro wheel continues to turn down south with these Melbourne rockers the buzz du jour in LA and their hometown, having just signed to seminal label Alberts here (home of AC/DC, Beasts Of Bourbon, Dallas Crane). The debut EP opens with lead track, It Goes Off, which has been scoring US radio airplay and reveals a strong melodic sense with classic rock riffs. The production is pretty muddy but you get the general idea that these guys have a few strong tunes.

Daughtry "Home" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

This song gives me chills every time I hear it (which is pretty often, cause i have the Daughtry album on "repeat all" in the CD player of my truck)...it's about coming back home to what is comfortable, rather than what is unfamiliar...I love this song, and I love this album...there is not a single bad song...no, there isnt even a single mediocre song on this album...although I wasn't impressed by Chris's performance on Jimmy Kimmel the other night...still, this album is NUTS...unbelieveably amazing.

Maroon 5 "Makes Me Wonder" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

Maroon 5 were like the Fray of 2004. Seemingly overnight, they went from opening for Michelle Branch (Remember her? She was hot!) to complete and utter ubiquity. Their first song, "Harder to Breathe" or whatever, was an annoying piece of shit. But its follow-up, "This Love," was admittedly kinda catchy the first few times you heard it.

I enjoy my share of marginally talented pop-rock artists, but I wouldn't have posted about Maroon 5 had I not heard their new song and found it to be actually pretty dang good. Idolator, which posted an mp3 of it earlier today, compared it to the Whispers' "Rock Steady" (I'm saying though!), but I'm actually picking up more of a Thriller-era Michael Jackson vibe from it.

Am I saying it's that good? Obviously not, but it's a damn sight better than I would have expected. Lead singer Adam Levine is still pretty annoying, except when he's singing in his falsetto, in which case he's awesome, but it's the groove - a funky, '80s R&B-ish sort of thing, but with a somewhat more organic feel to it - that really makes "Makes Me Wonder."

Kelly Clarkson “Because of you” Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

If you listen to the average indie kid then shows like the X Factor are killing music. The pop puppets that they produce are no better than the karaoke acts at a Butlin's talent show. Kelly Clarkson, along with Will Young and Girls Aloud, kicks a platinum record-sized hole in that argument.

All that pop reality TV does is draw back the curtain on the training and manipulation that takes place before an artist is released on the public. This has always been the case - it's just that these acts are forced to grow up in public. No amount of Pygmalion-styled direction can prolong a career beyond the first few singles if there is no real talent. A life of cruise ships and working men's clubs awaits those who somehow conned their way into the final stages of Pop Idol or the X Factor.

Kelly Clarkson was the winner of the very first series of American Idol and she has an advantage - she is undoubtedly talented. Firstly, there is her voice; here it's full of vulnerability, ache and wounded pride. It soars, it purrs. It carries a bruised sense of real emotion. Secondly, there is the co-credit on this single; the lyrics deal with an unnamed significant other who has twisted and damaged her psyche. When she sings; "I lose my way, and it's not too long before you point it out / I cannot cry, because I know that's weakness in your eyes," the pure hurt in her voice is heartbreaking. This is potent stuff, the piano arrangement reminiscent of Tori Amos in her most emotional naked state. A cut above Rik Waller, then.

Fall Out Boy “This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race” Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

Fall Out Boy are only four albums into their career, but they exist in a climate so temperamental they already feel weary and primed for self-parody. In the video for their new single "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", the band use characters from all their past videos, plus a few rock clichés (trashing hotel rooms, visiting the Playboy mansion, recording with a hip-hop producer) for a satire that's unusually self-aware for an emo band-- even one as good-humored and self-effacing as this.

But how’s the single? As self-referential as the video, but without the sense of humor. Incorporating an ill-advised drum machine for its Rob Thomas/Santana-meets-Timberlake verses and pre-chorus, the lyrics reach for more than they can grasp: "I am an arms dealer/ Fitting you with weapons in the form of words" explains the song title, not the metaphor. The stomp of the pre-chorus, and the full-bore, blown-out pop/punk chorus both go a long way towards redeeming that, but there's a telling line at the end of the second chorus-- "Bandwagon's full. Please, catch another"-- implying Fall Out Boy may have become their own guilty pleasure

Linkin Park "What I've Done" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

In true Linkin Park style, “What I’ve Done” chronicles the emotional journey of confession, forgiveness, and redemption -- all deeply spiritual themes. But let’s not jump ahead of ourselves and assume these are necessarily biblically based. Many, many worldviews, such as Islam and Hinduism, offer similar themes. The real question is how you attain forgiveness and redemption.

First the confession, “Cause I’ve drawn regret/ From the truth/ Of a thousand lies” and later “What I’ve done/ I’ll face myself/ To cross out what I’ve become.” The singer acknowledges wrongdoing, is remorseful, and willing to own up to his crime.

Forgiveness and redemption are at the heart of the Christian walk with God. Unlike any other religion, they are free because Christ already paid for all our sins. First John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

While Linkin Park correctly follows confession with forgiveness and redemption, they also imply that we can do this without God. Lines like “[I] Erase myself/ And let go of what I’ve done,” “I clean this slate” and “I’m forgiving what I’ve done” point to the very popular notion that we can sanctify ourselves -- we don’t need God’s help. Instead of asking God to cleanse us of our sins, we can just forgive our own sins and move on.

The problem with that view is that we aren’t gods; we do need God. We don’t have the power to forgive sins because all sin is against God, therefore only He can forgive us. Is it your place to forgive your sister for something she said to your mom? You may have been offended, too, but ultimately it’s between your mom and your sister. In the same way, all of our sins are ultimately against God because He’s the one who laid out the guidelines for us to follow. Once we understand true mercy and forgiveness, there’s no need to wallow in guilt and self-pity.

David wrote in Psalm 53:4, “Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.” Spend some time meditating on his example of confession and repentance and thanking the Lord for his forgiveness.

Hellogoodbye "Here In Your Arms" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

The Bottom Line

Infused with the best use of vocoder in top 10 pop since Cher's mega-smash "Believe," Hellogoodbye's "Here (In Your Arms)" is a refreshing piece of electro indie pop. It has taken some time for the song to be recognized by pop radio, but, with a boatload of catchy hooks, Hellogoodbye are a very promising band with more great songs where this came from.

Pros

* Sweet love lyric
* Fun use of the vocoder
* Irresistible pop melody

Cons

* Really just a wisp of a song

Description

* Sweet, gentle vocals awash in vocoder and echo
* Instantly catchy melody
* Pleasing blend of traditional instrumentation and electronic effects

Guide Review - Hellogoodbye - Here (In Your Arms)

There is a very appealing sweet, naive tone to the voice of Forrest Kline, lead vocalist of California-based indie pop band Hellogoodbye. When it becomes awash in Cher-style vocoder effects on the chorus, the listener can do little but smile. The sound lies somewhere between mainstream power pop and Daft Punk.

If there is a downside to "Here (In Your Arms)," it's that there really is very little of a song here. It's a very simple idea expanded out for almost 4 minutes. However, the sheer joyfulness of the sound and the goofy humor of the band's accompanying video are likely to win you over. Put this on your iPod, and you will be singing along in no time.

The pop radio success of "Here (In Your Arms)" is potentially a good sign for more attention to the richness of indie pop music. It's also a great introduction to a band that has much more where this came from.

Young Buck "Get Buck" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

MTV TakeAway Rating - rating

The Bottom Line

While Young Buck's 'gangsta' hasn't been questioned, doubters of his commercial appeal can give it a rest, too.

Pros
  • Polow da Don's gleaming synths add flavor.
Cons
  • Buck's bland lyrics are incongruent with the grimy beat.
  • Lacks originality.

Description

  • "Get Buck" is the second single from Buck The World.
  • Produced by Polow da Don, the boardsman behind Rich Boy's "Throw Some D's."
  • Buck The World is Young Buck's sophomore album.

Guide Review - Young Buck - Get Buck (G-Unit)

After a steady stream of street material with Whoo Kid and DJ Drama, Buck primes listeners for his Buck The World sophomore set by reaffirming his affinity for club numbers and trunk rattlers. As Polow Da Don gives his best Timbaland impersonation with booming horns and space whirs, Buck's charismatic baritone and measured flow should keep heads nodding and offer a friendly alternative to a presumably tougher LP.

Mims: “This Is Why I'm Hot” Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

So what's up with this song's meteoric popularity? From a commercial standpoint, MIMS knows very well that the street poet image that characterizes the typical East Coast emcee is not relevant on the radio. With that said, while striving to "bring New York back" like his peers, MIMS decides to take a different route. What he's chosen to do is replicate the energy of the reigning South and he pulls it off! In the process, he sheds love towards the soulful style of the Midwest, the whip-riding frenzy of the hyphy movement and the G-funk of the West Coast. He still "reps" New York though, and although he knows he's not pitching to fans from a lyrical angle, he still manages to keep his rhymes fresh with a likable, repetitive flow that stays stuck in your head and "that's why it's hot."

With a self-made hustler mentality propped heavily by his Myspace popularity (7 million spins and counting), MIMS is positioned to be the 2007 version of Mike Jones. With "This Is Why I'm Hot" continuing to burn up the charts, he's proven what he's got, but let's see if he can stay on top.

Robin Thicke "Wanna love you girl (Remix) by Boj de Jong" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

What do you expect from a dark haired, handsome and blue eyed guy like Robin Thick? You would definitely not expect the soul of Stevie Wonder to come from his voice. When I first heard the music single "I'm Not Loving You" I did expect to get swept off my feet in lyrics and melody.
One review called him cloying. His lyrics and melody are not super sweet at all.
His album is banging, but also as a producer and writer, he's amazing," the singer said of his friend. "We've been able to get to a point where we can work very easily together. I'll give him an idea and he'll understand exactly what wavelength I'm on." -Usher

A lot of people have kudos for Robin and his music. He has been described as the next generation of soul and the man that is going to change music. I have to agree, Robin's music is nothing like what is being played today. Another writer compared it to Justin Timberlake's Futuresex. Robin's soft sweet sounds are nothing like the pop, disco techish Futuresex.

Fans will be looking for Robin Thicke's new album after his current tour around the world. I'm sure that it will be another hit if it is anything like The Evolution of Robin.

Robin Thicke produces a great mixture of songs to relax to and shake your booty at.

All Night Long has gotten me out of my seat dancing every time. I can't forget about Wanna Love You Girl, that mixes pop beats to his soulful voice. Everything I can't have is a great mixture of Samba beats, Rhythm and Blues.

When asked what Robin's muse for the album was he said "My greatest desire with this album was to write songs that were completely honest and sing them with the emotion I was feeling when I wrote them, so that whoever listens to my music is brought as close to my experiences and life as possible."

Always carrying a heavy heart, Robin taught himself to play piano at the age of twelve so he could have an outlet to express himself. By the age of fourteen, he could play anything he heard on the radio. At sixteen, with no formal training, Robin began professionally writing and producing music for recording artists like Brandy and Brian McKnight. Over the years he has amassed dozens of gold and platinum records with artists including Usher, Mary J. Blige, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.

Robin Thicke has music in his veins. He taught himself how to pay the piano at twelve. Robin then went on to professionally write music for Brandy, Brian McKnight, Usher, Mary J Blige, Michael Jackson and Christina Aguilera.

He broke out on his own in 2003 with A Beautiful World under the supervision of Nu American Music. In October 2006, Robin Thicke produced The Evolution of Robin Thicke under The Neptunes music label.
Robin Thicke's father, Alan Thicke made a name for himself in television with hits like Growing Pains and who recently published several books.
Robin Thicke's mother has made a name for herself on Days Of Our Lives, as a Broadway performer and Songwriter. Robin Thicke is making a name for himself in music. Not to mention that Robin is a Grammy award winning songwriter and producer.

Jay Z "Show Me What You Got" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

Show Me What You Got comes in three flavours on Jay-Z's comeback single: clean, dirty and instrumental. Unlike a lot of Hip Hop songs that are rendered ludicrous by self-censorship, the clean version actually comes out more sprightly and more free-flowing than the rude one.

Crediting no less than 6 writers, Show Me What You Got is a sharp and snazzy mix of big band break beats, the brass part from Shaft In Africa and Public Enemy's Show Them What You Got. This melange runs dramatically behind the rap, creating a tapestry of counterpoint and jerky rhythms, cymbal solos and scintillating sax, all mixed together by Just Blaze. It's one of the few times an instrumental version is more than filler, from its drawn out, echoing first notes on.

Jay-Z (with backup shouting by king of clock-loversFlava Flav), is on terrific form, teasing and tantalizing with bursts of fast rhyme between the catchy chorus, as club-friendly and mellow as In Da Club. "This is a state of emergency" he announces, before going on to weave the usual web of boasts, toasts and innuendo. It may not be fresh ground lyrically, but it's smart and playful. Let's hope the whole of his new album, Kingdom Come, is this good (although the inclusion of Chris Martin on the producer list is worrying).

Robin Thicke "Lost Without You" Rapidshare Music Video MV|뮤직 비디오|동영상|試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞

The new single, "Lost without U" by Robin Thicke has become a favorite among music fans. It is a great song that places the R&B singer back into the spotlight after a brief hiatus. The music video for "Lost without U" is subtle and harmonious at best.
Fans who like Robin Thicke and enjoy the song will definitely want to watch this music video. It depicts Robing Thicke preparing to serenade viewers with his voice and guitar in between scenes of him and a woman who is the subject of the tune.

"Lost without U" is the first single released from Robin Thicke's new album titled "The Evolution of Robin Thicke". While I stray for a moment, there seems to be an "evolution" trend among the latest albums released from music artists. Getting back on track, I would have expected Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video to have a little more pizzazz to it given the fact that it introduces what is yet to come. However, I can understand that there is not much needed in a music video for a slow love song like "Lost without U" by Robin Thicke. Music videos are mere marketing tools to get fans excited enough to purchase an album.

I have had the pleasure of hearing "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" and the album sounds pretty solid. It has upbeat songs and slower tunes that both women and men can enjoy. Music fans who like R&B will not be disappointed with Robin Thicke's latest album. Another great aspect that I like about "The Evolution of Robin Thicke" is that there are no desires to skip certain tracks. Each song on the album is good.

The "Lost without U" music video has the potential to bore someone who is not into the song. Any impatient teenager would probably turn the channel to see Beyonce shaking her butt in the "Upgrade U" music video. However, Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video provides enough satisfaction to be deemed something worth watching. It has built in appeal because Robin Thicke has become quite popular again due to the great "Lost without U" song and his frequent airplay. Those who are not familiar with him will definitely look for him on the music video channels.

Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video looks cheap from a technical perspective. Anyone can rent a hotel room and have the singer pour a drink while sobbing about a lost love. That is just my simple observation of the music video. Based on the routine of music industry productions, it is best to say that Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" video was not cheap at all. It is possible that this video cost thousands of dollars to make. That is mainstream production working right there.
This means that it can work for Robin Thicke. Although there is not much going on in the "Lost without U" music video, it's simplicity works for that particular song. Robin Thicke has a great style that music fans are attracted to.
Therefore, he does not have to make elaborate videos and his music will still sell. There is no deep concept except for the fact that Robin Thicke is reminiscing about a woman that he loves.

When I first saw the "Lost without U" music video, it was not easy to tell if the woman was ever there or not. However, this is something that may be left up to one's perception. The minimized color of Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" goes well with the tone of the song. There are also quick movements that work well with this music video. It is not too much movement that viewers will develop a headache. In fact, the movements seem in sync with the beat of "Lost without U".

Grade A
If you like simplicity, the "Lost without U' video will be entertaining. It lacks the kind of boredom that will make someone not want to watch TV at all. However, it does not have special effects or half naked women jumping around on the screen. This music video represents "Lost without U" in its best light. It is subtle and flows perfectly with each lyric and tune. I cannot stop believing that the record company said "Let's shoot something and get the video out there". However, Robin Thicke's "Lost without U" music video is undeniably worth watching.

Eve 'Tambourine' Rapidshare Music Video MV/試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞/뮤직 비디오/동영상

Setting aside the fact that in clear breach of The Laws Of Everything Eve actually seems to be getting FITTER as she gets OLDER and must therefore be some sort of witch, her comeback single 'Tambourine' is amazing.

Not just because her MySpace lists it as her debut single (?!) but because it is called 'Tambourine' and actually has a tambourine in it.

Not only that but it has a siren. A siren! We wonder if in a Greekmytholotabulous fashion these 'sirens' will draw the listener onto Eve's rocks, ie some diamonds? Possibly not.

Good song though.

Chris Brown "Gimme That " Rapidshare Music Video MV/試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞/뮤직 비디오/동영상

Producer genius Scott Torch turns up the heat on Chris Brown with this very edgy, hip-hop inspired backbeat drop for Mr Brown to ply his vocals on. You can imagine the video without even seeing it, lots of busting dance moves in the ilk of an Usher video. Chris Brown is a superstar, make no mistake, this will appeal largely to the download buying market and is very different from the more adult contempary "Yo (Excuse Me Miss). Another hit for Mr Brown you bet and because with its club appeal it will probably end up being a much bigger hit than "Yo". But personally gimme "Yo" any day, but I can definitely see its appeal to the mass market.

Bigger 3/5

Outkast - ‘Idlewild Blue [Don’tchu Worry ‘Bout Me] Rapidshare Music Video MV/試聴 視聴 mp3 PV 動画 映画 歌詞/뮤직 비디오/동영상

Outkast are nothing but a duo with ambition. After daring to believe splitting to make a long-ass double LP of two totally separate albums could be a success, the pair decided to make a whole period feature film to accompany their latest release. ‘Idlewild Blue’ is the first release from the resulting, and much-delayed ‘Idlewild’ project, and although the album doesn’t feature as many highpoints as ‘Speakerboxxx/The Love Below’, this track – Andre 3000’s kind of future-blues take on Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’ – is one of them.
